Anti-Wrinkle

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and collagen, and repetitive muscle movement (such as frowning), causes wrinkles. Over time, these wrinkles become deep, ingrained lines. Environmental factors such as UVA exposure and pollution also have a huge impact on our skin, further speeding up the ageing process.

Anti-wrinkle injections are a highly refined, medically administered treatment designed to soften expression lines and create a smoother, more rejuvenated appearance. By relaxing targeted facial muscles, these injections help reduce the visibility of dynamic wrinkles—such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead creases—while maintaining your natural facial movement. The result is a refreshed, well-rested look that enhances your features without altering your unique expression.

This treatment is quick, precise, and minimally invasive, making it one of the most popular aesthetic procedures worldwide. Results typically begin to appear within a few days and continue to refine over two weeks, lasting approximately 3–4 months. Anti-wrinkle injections also have preventative benefits, helping to slow the formation of deeper lines over time. With expert placement and a conservative, tailored approach, clients can enjoy elegant, age-defying results that look effortless and authentically natural.

Avoid active skin treatments (retinoids, acids, scrubs, peels, or exfoliants) for 3–5 days prior.

Do not schedule if you have an active infection, cold sore, or skin irritation in the treatment area.

Ensure you are not pregnant or breastfeeding, as treatment cannot be performed.

Before the treatment, we start your appointment with a consultation to assess your areas of concern. We then cleanse the area and mark up treatment areas.

We then prepare the area and carry out the injections. We may use a numbing cream if necessary, but the needle is very fine and most people find it mostly painless. Treatment takes up to about 30 minutes.

Not Needed

Stay upright for 4 hours after treatment—avoid lying down or bending forward excessively.

Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours.

Refrain from strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for 24 hours to minimize swelling and prevent product migration.

Avoid facials, facial massages, or any treatments that apply heat or pressure to the face for 7 days.

Do not apply makeup for at least 4–6 hours; mineral makeup is preferred if needed later in the day.

Mild redness, small bumps, or pinpoint bruising is normal and typically resolves within a few hours to a few days.

Full results develop over 10–14 days; avoid assessing final outcome before this time.

If this is your first treatment, a follow-up appointment may be scheduled to assess symmetry and effectiveness.

Contact your provider if you experience unusual swelling, persistent pain, or any symptoms that feel out of the ordinary.

Results may be noticeable within days but it often takes 2 weeks for the best results to be seen. We always make a review appointment 2 to 3 weeks after the treatment, to assess the results. An adjustment may be needed in some instances.

Toxin effects typically last between three to six months, with most people finding that maintenance treatments are needed around the 3- to 4-month mark. The effects gradually wear off as the body metabolizes the neurotoxin and muscle movement returns.
Several factors can influence exactly how long toxin results last for an individual:
  • Metabolism and lifestyle: People with a faster metabolism (e.g., athletes or those who exercise frequently) may break down the product more quickly, leading to a shorter duration of effect.
  • Treated area: Injections in areas with high muscle activity, such as around the eyes (crow’s feet), may fade faster than those in less mobile areas.
  • Frequency of treatments: First-time users often find their results wear off sooner, but with regular, consistent treatments, muscles may become “trained” to be less active, potentially extending the time between sessions.
  • Age and skin condition: Younger patients with greater skin elasticity may experience longer-lasting results compared to older patients with deeper wrinkles and less collagen.

Common, mild side effects may include temporary redness, small bumps, bruising, or slight tenderness at the injection sites. Some clients may experience a mild headache or a feeling of heaviness in the treated area, which typically resolves within a few days.

Less common risks include asymmetry, unintended muscle relaxation, or temporary eyelid or brow heaviness, which can occur if the product spreads beyond the intended area. These effects are temporary and improve as the treatment wears off.

Allergic reactions to Botox are extremely rare, but may involve itching, rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing—symptoms that require immediate medical attention. Always inform your practitioner of medical conditions, medications, or previous reactions before treatment.
